VHF (Very High Frequency) is a radio frequency band that covers frequencies between 30 MHz and 300 MHz. This band is used in a variety of applications. Aircraft and marine vessels use the VHF band for two-way communication with each other and with ground stations. It is also the name given to the radio communication device that uses this frequency. In other words, it is the name of both the device and the frequency.
