What are Special Cargo Ships?
Special cargo ships can carry unusually shaped or extremely heavy loads such as smaller vessels, oil platforms or building structures. They often have cranes and flat decks to support large objects. Some specialized cargo ships can even submerge themselves to transport their cargo. Private cargo ships make up a tiny fraction of the world’s fleet, only 0.3%.
