What is RO-RO?
The word “Ro-Ro” means Roll-on/Roll-off. Its basic logic defines the loads that are loaded or discharged with their own wheels or similar mechanisms. Ro-Ro cargo ships carry cars, trailers, trucks and even wagons as cargo. Ro-Ros can travel great distances around the world and can be very large in breadth, length and height. Ro-Ro cargo ships make up about 1.8% of the world’s fleet.
