In the statement made by the Rotterdam Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that during the one-week period between the last days of 2022 and the first days of 2023, security forces carried out numerous checks at the Port of Rotterdam.
During the controls, it was stated that a total of 4 tons of 726 kilograms of cocaine was seized and 34 people were detained.
It was noted that the cocaine was hidden among different cargoes such as bananas, shoes and frozen juice containers in different containers on ships from North American countries such as Brazil, Ecuador and Chile.
It was stated that the cocaine was destroyed.
